Overview

This volume ‘Centrifugal Compressors’ was borne out of the several years of experience the author has had in teaching the subject to under-graduates and post- graduates and guiding research. The book deals with the subject of Centrifugal Compressors in a systematic approach combining thermodynamic aspects as well, also taking care to have a common coverage for both incompressible and compressible flows.
In a span of about ten chapters, much effort had gone in to discuss details of the working and constructional aspects of centrifugal compressors. The book has been profusely illustrated to give the reader a visual understanding of the flows through compressor elements, which would have been otherwise difficult to explain theoretically.
Suggestions and criticisms for the improvement of the book are welcome.
