Suja Kurup P. L., is Professor at the Institute of English and the Director of both the Centre for Australian Studies and the School of English and Foreign Languages at the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Prior to her role at the Institute of English, she served as an Associate Professor at the Research Centre and Department of English at Fatima Mata National College in Kollam.
With an extensive teaching career spanning over 29 years, Professor Kurup brings a wealth of experience to to her roles. Her areas of expertise encompass Australian Studies, Eco-Aesthetics, and American Poetry. Additionally, she serves as a Research Guide in English Language and Literature at the University of Kerala, contributing to the academic growth of aspiring scholars.
Professor Kurup’s intellectual footprint extends beyond the classroom, with a notable presence in reputable journals such as The Journal of Earth Science and Engineering, Chicago. Her published research articles showcase a commitment to advancing knowledge in her field.
Further underscoring her dedication to literature and environmental studies, Professor Kurup holds the position of Joint Secretary at EFSLE (Ecosophical Foundation for the Study of Literature and Environment) for the Southern Region of Kerala.
Chitra V. R. currently holds the position of Associate Professor and Research Supervisor in the Department of English, University College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. With over 13 years of teaching experience in various colleges under the Collegiate Education Service of the Government of Kerala, her areas of interest lie in Indian Literature, Environmental Humanities, Urban Studies, Digital Humanities, and Human Rights Literature.
Additionally, she serves as a member editor for the peer-reviewed international journal Littcrit: An Indian Response to Literature and has co-edited the book Humour: Texts, Contexts. She has also edited the special number of Littcriton Australian Bushfires and has authored more than thirty research articles for both national and international journals and books.
